Accessibility
Sydney Writers' Festival strives to make every event as accessible as possible.
All Festival venues are accessible, including wheelchair and level access.
To book Access Tickets please call our box office on (02) 9256 4200 Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm.
On the day of the event, please locate a venue staff member and they will arrange your entry to your seat in the venue.
Assistive Listening Systems
Various venues are fitted with Assistive Listening Systems. Upon arrival to events please contact box office or front of house staff for instructions on how to access assistive listening systems.
Auslan
If you would like to request Auslan interpretation at a Sydney Writers' Festival event, please email [email protected] or call (02) 9256 4200 with your details and the requested event and we will work to accommodate all events. A minimum notice period of three weeks is required to arrange this service. Where requests are received after this timeframe, we will endeavour to accommodate where possible. All newly booked Auslan interpreted sessions will be listed on the Sydney Writers’ Festival website.

Companion cards
Companion Card holders qualify for a complimentary ticket for their companion. Please contact the Sydney Writers' Festival box office directly on (02) 9256 4200 for assistance with your booking.

Assistance animals
Guide Dogs are welcome at all Festival events and venues.
If you are blind or have low vision and want to attend an event at Sydney Writers' Festival, Guide Dogs NSW/ACT can provide you with support for how to travel safely from any location to your event at the Festival. Call 1800 484 333 to discuss your travel needs.
