Internships
The Sydney Writers’ Festival internship program is designed to facilitate learning within a collaborative office environment, as well as to offer practical experience working on a large-scale festival event.
Each role has been designed according to specific learning outcomes. The internship program also provides valuable opportunities for students to network with professionals in Sydney’s thriving arts and cultural events industry.
Our Internship Program is offered in partnership with UNSW Sydney, available to undergraduate and postgraduate students attending UNSW Sydney as part of an enrolled course in 2025.
Applications for our main round of internships are now closed.
Applications for our short-term internships are now open until Thursday 17 April.
Please note that these are unpaid, two-week internships offered as a practical learning opportunity with our production staff in podcasting and videography. The total time commitment required to complete a short internship is approximately 25 hours.
