Trace Balla

Trace Balla creates graphic novels and children’s books about connecting with and care for Country and community. She is a self-described ‘story catcher - story hatcher’. Her books include Treeshape, Rivertime, Leaflight and Rockhopping. Trace lives on Djaara Country, regional Victoria, and her ancestors come from Hungary, England and France. From them she has inherited a love of early morning bush walks, dance and artistic creativity.
