Susan Orlean

Susan Orlean is the bestselling author of nine books, including The Library Book, Rin Tin Tin, On Animals and Joyride. Her book The Orchid Thief was the basis of the Academy-Award winning film Adaptation. She has been a staff writer at The New Yorker Magazine since 1992. She has also contributed to National Geographic, Rolling Stone, Vogue and Esquire. In 2022, she was nominated for an Emmy for her writing on the HBO show, How To With John Wilson. She is a Nieman Fellow at Harvard University and a Guggenheim Fellow. She lives in Los Angeles with her family.
