Shankari Chandran is an Australian Tamil lawyer and the author of Chai Time at Cinnamon Gardens, which won the Miles Franklin Literary Award in 2023. Her other novels are Unfinished Business, Safe Haven, The Barrier and Song of the Sun God. Her short stories have been published in various Sweatshop anthologies. Shankari is also the deputy chair of Writing NSW.
