Shakila Abawi Shigarf was born in Kabul. She graduated from school in Kabul and later pursued her studies at the Faculty of Law for four years. After completing initial studies she attended a two-year law course, Following this, she was appointed as a judge by the government of Kabul. She has had the privilege of serving as a judge for 26 years, gaining extensive experience in various courts. She has worked in courts handling cases related to violence against women, children, family law, crime, punishment and civil law. Throughout her career, her goal has always been to help the women and people of Afghanistan.
