Raewyn Connell

Raewyn Connell is a well-known researcher on social questions, including gender issues; a long-term socialist feminist, currently a life member of her union; a gardener, currently specialising in grevilleas; and a very little-known poet. Her books include The Good University, Southern Theory, Masculinities, Gender & Power, Making the Difference and Ruling Class Ruling Culture. Her most recent book Trans Lives, was published in February 2026.
