Neera Handa was born in India, where she studied and taught English literature. She migrated to Australia in 1991, is an avid follower of the sustainability movement and a believer of human ingenuity. Neera writes prose and poetry which looks at alternatives to capitalist globalisation. She expresses herself in Hindi, Urdu and English, the three languages that have shaped her childhood memories, her fantasies of youth and her academic self.
