Ivan O'Mahoney

In former lives Ivan O’Mahoney was a lawyer and served as a UN peacekeeper in Bosnia. He started his journalism career with CNN following a post graduate degree at Columbia Journalism School. From the US, he moved to the UK where for eight years he produced and directed documentaries for Channel 4 News, BBC Current Affairs and US broadcasters such as HBO and PBS, earning him a Prix Europa, Golden Nymph and Amnesty International Media Award. Love and marriage brought him to Australia in 2008 where his work has since been awarded two Director Guild Awards, a Logie, three AACTAs, three Rose D'Ors and three Walkley Awards. His most recent film was Unbreakable: The Jelena Dokic Story.
