Cate James

Cate is an illustrator and printmaker from the Northern Beaches of Sydney. She works predominantly on children’s picture books. When not in her studio she works as a lecturer in printmaking, a screen printing technician and visits schools to encourage students to get drawing. Cate was awarded the 2019 Penguin Random House Illustrator’ Showcase award. Cate has two very naughty sausage dogs and lives amongst trees and birds which often appear in her picture books.
