Anne Beate Hovind
Anne Beate Hovind is a Norwegian urban developer, curator and cultural producer with an international profile in art in public space. With more than twenty years’ experience across art, architecture and civic infrastructure, she is known for initiating ambitious, long-term, site-specific projects that connect storytelling, place and community.

She is the producer and curator of Future Library (2014–2114) by Katie Paterson – a hundred-year literary artwork and one of the most internationally acclaimed long-term cultural projects of our time. Each year, one writer contributes a manuscript that will remain unread until publication in 2114. The twelve contributing authors to date include Margaret Atwood, Tsitsi Dangarembga, David Mitchell, Sjón, Elif Shafak, Judith Schalansky, Valeria Luiselli, Han Kang, Karl Ove Knausgård, Ocean Vuong, Tommy Orange and Amitav Ghosh.

Anne serves as a board member of Sparebankstiftelsen DNB, a philanthropic foundation that supports cultural and community initiatives across Norway, and Flytårnet Fornebu, a cultural venue and community hub at Fornebu. She is Associate Professor at OsloMet, working with aesthetics and public space through teaching, research and international collaboration in practice.
