Professor Anna Goldsworthy is an Australian writer and pianist whose books include the memoir Piano Lessons and the novel Melting Moments. Her writing spans memoir, fiction, essay and stage works, and she is a regular contributor to national cultural discourse. Her Quarterly Essay: On AI, self and culture will appear in 2026. She has received the Australian Book Industry Award for Newcomer of the Year and has written extensively on creativity, education and the arts. Anna is currently Dean of the Elder Conservatoriun of Music and Performing Arts at Adelaide University and from 2027 will be Artistic Director of the Australian National Academy of Music.
