Ange Crawford is a writer, editor and PhD candidate living on unceded Wurundjeri land. Her debut contemporary young adult novel, How to Be Normal, won the inaugural Walker Books Manuscript Prize, and was released in March 2025. How to Be Normal explores themes including coercive control, coming of age, and finding yourself, through the perspective of formerly home-schooled, musically inclined (and somewhat awkward) Astrid. Ange also recently contributed to Someone Like Me: An Anthology of Non-fiction by Autistic Writers (UQP).
