Meet our Guest Curator: Amy Thunig

Amy Thunig is a Gomeroi Research Fellow within Jumbunna Institute for Indigenous Education and Research at the University of Technology Sydney. Amy is also a Director at Story Factory in Redfern, a media commentator, a festival co-curator and sits on various councils and committees including the AECG. Amy’s book, Tell Me Again: A Memoir, was published by UQP and has been shortlisted for various awards including the 2023 Victorian Premier’s Literature Awards and the 2023 Australian Book Industry Awards.

Amy will be talking about the perils of writing about family and hosting a big conversation about storytelling and survival for First Nations activists. In the Family Day Program, Amy's curated events bring authors of very special books for young people to our stages.
