National Youth Poetry Slam

Bankstown Poetry Slam is proud to present the fourth annual National Youth Poetry Slam, welcoming the next generation of poets from across Australia to Sydney for this special event.

Watch 20 of the country's finest writers and performers under 24 battle it out for the coveted NYPS crown in this evening of inimitable poetic storytelling. 

If you are a poet aged 24 and under, submissions will be open until 1 October 2025 at 11.59pm. The competition is free to enter, with finalists outside of Sydney provided with support to travel to Sydney.
