Programming expression of interest

Expressions of interest in working with Sydney Writers’ Festival are open. We welcome EOIs to work with us on either our annual Festival program or our new program at the State Library of NSW.  

In addition to our flagship annual Festival at Carriageworks in May, throughout the year Sydney Writers’ Festival will present a dynamic program of events at the State Library of NSW. This partnership is an exciting new initiative to establish a vibrant ongoing home for writing and ideas.  

This new program creates opportunity for Sydney Writers’ Festival to collaborate with cultural organisations in New South Wales beyond our annual Festival. We want to create more opportunities to connect writers and thinkers with audiences across New South Wales. 

The State Library program takes place in the 350-seat Library Auditorium, so events programmed aim to attract audiences of at least 250 people. 

We are looking for collaborations that extend the range of what we are already able to do and the artists that we work with, and that enable us to grow and diversify our audiences. Sydney Writers’ Festival encourages applications from all backgrounds and communities including First Nations people, people from a diversity of cultural and linguistic backgrounds, people from d/Deaf & Disabled communities and people from LGBTQIA+ communities.
