Language is a means through which we can make sense of the world and poetry is how we share it with others.

Award-winning poet and novelist Sara M. Saleh (The Flirtation of Girls, Songs for the Dead and the Living) leads you through this practical workshop to draw out your memories and call on the voices of your ancestors to shape them into poetry.

Through writing exercises and techniques shared by Sara, you will craft poetry that evokes your own personal and powerful feelings of home, integrating a chorus of your ancestors and bringing your memories to life on the page.
