Reading David Malouf

Earlier this year, the Australian literary community lost a pillar of excellence in the death of poet, novelist and essayist David Malouf.

Over more than 40 years, David published more than 30 works including novels, non-fiction, poetry collections, plays and libretti and he was recognised locally and internationally with awards such as the Miles Franklin Literary Award and the International Dublin Literary Award.

In his memory, these writers reflect on his work, including his most well-known novels Fly Away Peter, Remembering Babylon and Ransom, and his powerful legacy for Australia literature across generations.
