Story Factory: Plant-a-Poem

Poems are like seeds. They can encapsulate whole worlds in their compact forms.

With Plant-A-Poem, Story Factory students and staff ask patrons about their dreams and hopes for the year ahead and provide them with a perfectly paired poem that gives expression to these hopes.

The poems are printed on a slip of paper with instructions for planting on the back. Festival-goers can then choose some native seeds from glass jars that, along with the poem, will be placed in a brown paper seed packet. At home, they will be able to plant their seeds which, along with their poem, serve as a reminder for their hopes for the year ahead.
