Deena has had extensive senior executive experience in the Communications Industry. She served as a Group Managing Director at Telstra Corporation between 2005 and 2013, during which time she led the Wholesale Division, established Telstra’s Business Division dedicated to the communication needs of Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) customers and established Telstra’s corporate venture capital arm, Telstra Ventures.
Deena has also had a legal and regulatory career, including as Partner at Mallesons 1995-1998, in house corporate counsel at Telstra, and as a senior executive and adviser on legal and social policy reforms for the Australian Government earlier in her career.
Deena is currently a Non Executive Director of the Australian Government backed export facilitation bank, Export Finance and Insurance Corporation. She serves as a director of a number of venture capital backed software businesses and advises and mentors entrepreneurs building new media and e-commerce businesses.

Guy is an Advisory Board Member of GAO Fu Australia and a former Executive Director of Macquarie Group, responsible for the Private Bank. Guy has been in high value private client financial advisory services for over 25 years, including establishing and managing the New Zealand retail operations of JB Were, managing the retail equities business for BNP Paribas in Australia and then developing the private bank capability for Macquarie throughout Australia and Asia.

Elizabeth Johnstone is a company director and Senior Consultant to DLA Piper lawyers. Previously she was a corporate legal partner specialising in company law and governance. Currently she is the Chairman of KinCare and serves on the boards of the ASX Compliance, Macquarie University Hospital, and the Royal Flying Doctor Service (South East Section) where she chairs the Audit and Risk Committee. Previously she served on the Auditing and Assurance Standards Board. For 10 years she served as a member of the Australian Press Council and in a previous life she taught literature and communications studies at tertiary level.

His books include a life of Patrick White; Dark Victory written with his colleague Marian Wilkinson; and The Henson Case.

Lena Nahlous has managed screen and digital media-based initiatives that have engaged thousands of people, particularly women, refugees, migrants and young people. She established Artfiles, an employment and engagement program for Western Sydney artists, the Switch Digital Arts Access Centre and was a co-founder of the Sydney Arab Film Festival. In 2006 she was a recipient of an Asialink Arts Fellowship to Hong Kong and in 2008 completed the Asialink Leadership program. She sat on the NSW Government Arts Advisory Committee, participated in the Australia 2020 Summit and has been named by Creative Sydney one of Sydney's 100 creative catalysts.

Margie Seale has over 20 years experience in senior executive roles in Australia and overseas. Most recently she was the Managing Director of Random House Australia and New Zealand, and President, Asia Development for Random House Inc., the global company. Previously, she was Chief Executive Officer for The Macquarie Dictionary and Lansdowne Publishing from 1997-1999. Margie was the Chief Executive Officer for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation from 1994 to 1997. Margie left executive life at the end of November last year to pursue a non-executive career. She is a non-executive Director of Telstra Corporation, Random House Australia and New Zealand and the Sydney Writers’ Festival.

Peter Shergold was a CEO in the Australian Public Service for two decades. For five years from February 2003, he was Australia’s most senior public administrator, serving as Secretary of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. Since early 2008, Dr Shergold has been the Macquarie Group Foundation Professor at the Centre for Social Impact. He is Chair of the National Centre for Vocational Education Research, a non-executive Director of AMP Ltd, a board member of Corrs Chambers Westgarth, a Director of the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence and the General Sir John Monash Foundation, and the Chairperson of a small venture capital start-up, QuintessenceLabs. Dr Shergold is also currently Chancellor of the University of Western Sydney.
