Rebekah Robertson is an author, actor, advocate and proud mother of twins, Georgie and Harry Stone. She founded Transcend, Australia's first peer support network for the families of trans and gender diverse children and adolescents in 2012. She became an advocate for access to medical treatment and law reform through her own experiences raising and supporting Georgie, their battles with the Family Court of Australia and then as the founder of Transcend, representing families from around the country in her discussions with human rights organisations, politicians and anyone else who would listen! She also founded the Transcend Auxiliary through the RCH Foundation which to date has raised over $86,000 for the RCH Gender Service. Rebekah and Transcend have been nominated for several awards and she was named the 2019 GLOBE Straight Ally of the Year. About A Girl is Rebekah's first book. She lives in Melbourne with her children and fur babies Lottie and Joy.
