Gabbie Stroud is a freelance writer, novelist and recovering teacher. After many years working in primary schools, Gabbie made the painful decision to leave teaching. In 2016, her critical commentary of Australia’s education system was published in Griffith Review’s Edition 51: Fixing The System and went on to be shortlisted for a Walkley Award. Teacher is Gabbie’s memoir, expanding on her essay and bringing readers into the reality of today’s challenging classrooms.
