“A woman, a mother, a fighter” is how Christiana Figueres, former United Nations Climate Change Convention CEO, described global environmental and social justice leader Christine Milne. Brought up on a dairy farm in NW Tasmania, Christine was jailed in the Franklin River campaign, came to national prominence battling to protect native forests and the farmlands of Wesley Vale, became the first female leader in Tasmanian politics and went on to lead the Australian Greens. An Activist Life tells her story driving action on LGBTIQ and refugee rights, gun law reform, and global warming.
