Ayeesha Ash

Ayeesha Ash is a proud Māori (Tūhoe, Ngāti Koura) Grenadian woman, born in St. George’s, Grenada and raised in Meanjin. As an interdisciplinary artist, she seeks to spark social consciousness through her work. Ayeesha is a writer, producer, podcast host, director and storyteller and the Artistic Director of critically acclaimed creative arts company, Black Birds. Her latest project with Black Birds is the development of Seen, a television series based on Black Birds’ sold out stage show, Brown Skin Girl.
