Alice Klein is the Australasia Reporter at New Scientist. She was previously a reporter at Australian Doctor magazine and has also written for The Washington Post and Medical Observer. Before moving into journalism three years ago, she worked as a chemist at the University of Sydney, where her research was focused on developing new drugs for treating prostate cancer. She has won several awards and was published in the 2017 Best Australian Science Writing anthology.
