Stephanie Alexander AO's unparalleled career in food has spanned five decades. She was the force behind Stephanie's Restaurant, and author of 18 books, including The Cook's Companion – the bible for Australian cooks. In 2001, she launched the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program, operating in more than 1,000 schools and early learning centres around Australia, teaching children about growing, preparing, cooking and sharing delicious, seasonal food. Stephanie has launched hundreds of careers, inspired generations of home cooks and fundamentally transformed the way we think about food in this country.
