Travelling to Wharf 2 Theatre
Wharf Theatre 2 at Sydney Theatre Company is on Pier 4/5, Hickson Road at Walsh Bay. Look for The Wharf / Sydney Theatre Company signs, walk up the stairs and along the timber corridor. The theatre is upstairs on the mezzanine level on the left.
By Train and Ferry
The closest train station and ferry terminal is Circular Quay. It’s an approximately 15-minute walk from Circular Quay. From Circular Quay, walk down George Street and take the Hickson Road turn off at Campbell’s Cove. Follow the harbour perimeter along Hickson Road and walk under the Harbour Bridge to the SWF precinct at Walsh Bay.
Millers Point bus services 431 and 433 depart from QVB, travel down George Street, through The Rocks to Millers Point. It’s a 10-minute walk from Millers Point to the Walsh Bay precinct.
Evening Bus Services
The 433 Balmain and Glebe Point bus to Millers Point extends its route down Hickson Road from 6:15pm-11:30pm nightly. Buses run approximately every 20 minutes during these times and there’s a bus stop outside Pier 4/5.
Route 998 runs from 9:00pm to 4:30am every Friday and Saturday night linking Hickson Road with Town Hall Station via Wynyard. Buses run every 30 minutes and there’s a bus stop outside Pier 4/5.

Sydney Writers' Festival Shuttle Bus
During Thursday to Sunday of the Festival, a return shuttle bus service from Wynyard to the Festival precinct will be provided.
Buses depart approximately every 15 minutes between 9:00am and 6:15pm from the Wynyard Bus Depot on York Street. The first stop is opposite Roslyn Packer Theatre, and the second stop is outside Pier 4/5. Buses return directly to Wynyard.
The last scheduled return service to Wynyard departs from Walsh Bay at 6:15pm.
Cost is $1 one way on the SWF shuttle bus. As this is a charter service, Opal Cards are not accepted.
Bicycle racks are provided under the awning on Pier 2.
While on-street metered parking is available in Walsh Bay. We recommend parking at Bond Store One (26 Hickson Road); Barangaroo Reserve Car Park (entry via Towns Place)
