LIVESTREAM

Sydney Writers’ Festival is an event for everyone – including those who can’t make it down to Carriageworks during the festival. From conversations with literary luminaries to panel discussions on our world’s most urgent issues, we don’t want you to miss an insightful comment, scathing take or witty joke that comes from our stages.

This year, we are livestreaming our events in Bay 17 for you to access at home. Watch along, text in questions directly to the Sydney stage and be a part of Sydney Writers’ Festival in 2023.

Purchase a day stream ticket for $35 and get access to the full day’s content.

BEGINNINGS

Introducing Beginnings, a new free live reading series at Sydney Writers' Festival. Come and meet our festival guests as they unfold their beginnings - five minutes of the stories, books, poetry and more that they are sharing at the Festival. Pregnant with the thrill of storytelling, full of surprises, calm, jarring, momentous or direct, the first lines of a writer’s work take us to exactly where they want us to be. We are in their hands, and now have to trust them to take us on the journey. Who better to lead us into their world than the likes of Robbie Arnott, Geraldine Brooks, Eleanor Catton, Peter Frankopan, Helen Garner, Shirley Le, Nguyễn Phan Quế Mai, Diana Reid and more.

Supported by UNSW Sydney.
