Join critic and researcher of contemporary Australian writing, Bernadette Brennan, as she discusses her latest biography Leaping into Waterfalls – a meticulous and moving biography that celebrates the extraordinary achievements and adventures of writer Gillian Mears. Appearing to many as a shy woman from Grafton, Gillian Mears lived an imaginative life rich with adventure, risk and often transgressive passion. In her award-winning and acclaimed novels and short stories, Mears wrote fearlessly of the dark undercurrents of country and family life, always probing the depths and complexity of human desire. Moderated by Michaela Kalowski.
