Wendy McCarthy is an experienced manager and company director who began her career as a secondary school teacher. She has worked for change across the public, private and community sectors, in education, family planning, human rights, public health, conservation, heritage, media and the Arts. She has a long track record of advocating, campaigning, and fundraising for women's issues in public life. Her memoir Don’t Be Too Polite, Girls was published in March.

Cassie McCullagh (Australian)

Cassie McCullagh

Cassie McCullagh presents ABC Radio Sydney's Mornings program on weekday mornings. She also co-hosts The Bookshelf with Kate Evans on ABC Radio National, a weekly review of the latest Australian and international fiction. Cassie has also presented Radio National's flagship social affairs program Life Matters, and reported on books, arts and popular culture. Prior to joining the ABC, Cassie worked in print journalism as a feature writer, news reporter and columnist.

Sarah Kanowski (Australian)

Sarah Kanowski

Sarah Kanowski hosts Conversations on ABC Radio and podcast, alongside Richard Fidler. She previously presented Books and Arts on ABC RN and was a producer on Late Night Live. Sarah won a Commonwealth Scholarship to study English at the University of Oxford, where she wrote a thesis on the Mosley family. She volunteered in Israel and South America, before moving to Hobart to edit the literary magazine Island. She now lives in Brisbane with her family and badly behaved chooks.
