Ben Wood (Australian)
Ben Wood is the illustrator of the bestselling Real Pigeons series and has always been drawn to books with both humour and heart. He has illustrated over 28 books for children and has had notable listings for the Children Book Council of Australia, been shortlisted for the Readings Children's Book Prize and the Australian Book Industry Awards. The sixth Real Pigeons book, Real Pigeons Flex Feathers, with Andrew McDonald, will be released May 2021.
Remy Lai (Australian)
Remy Lai is the author and illustrator of Pie in the Sky and Fly on the Wall. Her new graphic novel Pawcasso will be released in May. She was born in Indonesia, grew up in Singapore and now lives in Queensland, Australia, where she can often be found exploring the woods with her two dogs.
Jules Faber (Australian)
Jules Faber is both an award-winning children's book illustrator and award-winning cartoonist. He has worked in a variety of different fields including as an editorial cartoonist, a 'live' caricaturist, an animator on a Disney program and a TAFE instructor. He has served four terms as the President of the Australian Cartoonists Association and sits on the CBCA NSW Committee. Jules has illustrated over 30 books and is now and the author/illustrator of the new Max Crack series.
Matt Cosgrove (Australian)
Matt Cosgrove, lover of words, pictures and books in general, is the author and illustrator of the bestselling Macca the Alpaca series, including the latest instalment, Macca and Al, Super Pals. He regularly speaks at schools and libraries with the simple message: Keep Drawing, Keep Writing, Keep Reading. Gus Gordon (Australian)
Gus Gordon is an internationally acclaimed illustrator and author. He has illustrated and written over 80 books for children. His books Wendy, Herman and Rosie (2013 CBCA 'Honour book), Somewhere Else (2017 Speech Pathology book of the year), The Last Peach and Finding François have sold in over 20 countries world wide and have received extensive international recognition. He has twice been nominated for the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award. Gus lives with his wife and three kids in Sydney, Australia
Georgia Norton Lodge (Australian)
Georgia Norton Lodge draws houses all over Australia and the world for her illustration business Georgia Draws A House. She was introduced to the world of children's books when she teamed up with her brilliant sister to create the hilarious middle-grade fiction series Elizabella. Since then, she has joined the power couple Kate & Jol Temple to illustrate for the Alice Toolie series, she has developed a drawing workshop and taught hundreds of people how to pack character and charm in to their illustrations.
Tristan Bancks (Australian)
Tristan Bancks' books for kids and teens include Two Wolves, The Fall, Detention, the Tom Weekly series and Nit Boy. His books have won and been shortlisted for many awards. Tristan is a writer-ambassador for literacy non-profit, Room to Read. He's currently working with producers to develop a number of his books for the screen. His 2021 release is Ginger Meggs, a 100th aniversary book of stories based on characters created by his great-great uncle, Jimmy Bancks, in 1921.
Oliver Phommavanh (Australian)
Oliver Phommavanh loves to make people laugh on the page as an children's author and on the stage as a comedian. Oliver uses his experience as a primary school teacher to inspire kids to write funny stories. He has featured in Writers and Comedy festivals all across Australia and Asia. Oliver's books include Don't Follow Vee, Natural Born Loser, The Other Christy and Thai-riffic! His most recent book is the short story collection Brain Freeze.
