Join one of Australia’s favourite comedians, the multi-talented actor, presenter and writer Matt Okine, as he discusses his humorous and heartfelt debut novel Being Black ‘n Chicken, and Chips. Soon to be a major feature film and based on his award-winning stand-up show, the coming-of-age novel draws on Matt’s own experience of losing his mother at age 12, as it follows young Mike Amon learning of his mother’s cancer diagnosis. Described as “intimate and affecting” by Claudia Karvan, this is a story about trying to fit in when your world is falling apart.
