A good editor makes every novel better – but it’s up to the writer to make sure their manuscript is in the best possible shape before the editing begins, even if it’s not always easy to see your manuscript through fresh, critical eyes. In this full-day workshop, award-winning author Toni Jordan (The Fragments and Nine Days), offers a writer’s guide to editing. You’ll cover structural changes and copyedits, plot, character, narrative drive and pace, and look at practical ways to polish your prose.
This year, Sydney Writers' Festival is sponsoring one place per workshop (20 spots across the week) for writers who otherwise may not have the access to participate. To be considered for a position, please complete an application form by 12 April. Selected participants will be notified by email from the week starting 15 April.
