Steven Carroll, one of Australia’s finest, most critically acclaimed writers, returns with The Year of the Beast, a powerful novel that brings his sweeping Glenroy series to a magnificent close by going back to the very beginning of the story. This rhythmic and insistent novel tells a compelling story of mothers, families, and what it means to be an individual standing against a surging crowd. Hear from the award-winning author who Geraldine Brooks calls “one of the best we’ve ever had” as he speaks with Linda Funnell.
