William S. Burroughs once wrote, “I have come to doubt whether writing can be taught. It is like trying to teach someone how to dream.” In this half-day workshop with award-winning author Luke Carman (Intimate Antipathies), you’ll approach the esoteric task of fiction writing anew, asking how one might dream for the sake of writing. Exploring the link between writing and dreaming, and how to untangle the ways dreamwork can help you develop your creative craft.
This year, Sydney Writers' Festival is sponsoring one place per workshop (20 spots across the week) for writers who otherwise may not have the access to participate. To be considered for a position, please complete an application form by 12 April. Selected participants will be notified by email from the week starting 15 April.
