Artist and author Leigh Hobbs is the creator of the characters Old Tom, Mr Chicken, Mr Badger, Horrible Harriet, Fiona the Pig and the feral students in 4F for Freaks. Old Tom was adapted into a popular animated TV series while Mr Chicken and Horrible Harriet have recently appeared on the Sydney Opera House stage. Mr Chicken Goes to Paris was shortlisted for the 2010 Prime Minister’s Literary Awards. Leigh's latest book is Freaks on the Loose.

He also shares his passion for writing with kids, using his experience as a primary school teacher. Oliver is a fresh, positive voice for cultural diversity in children's literature and has appeared in many writers, arts and comedy festivals across Australia and Asia. His books include Thai-riffic!, Super Con-nerd, Punchlines and The Other Christy. His latest book will be Natural Born Leader, out in August.
