Artist, author and poet Cleo Wade promotes change through an uplifting blend of poetry, mantras and affirmations. Known by many through her hugely popular Instagram account @cleowade, the New York-based author of Heart Talk chats with Winnie Dunn about using her writing and social media presence as a means to spread positive messages and advocate for the marginalised in society. Wade’s work blends honesty and optimism to motivate people of all ages to become politically active in the world around them.

Cleo Wade is an artist, poet and author of Heart Talk: Poetic Wisdom for a Better Life. She contributes regularly to W Magazine, Teen Vogue and has presented at New York University, Columbia University and the National Museum of African American History and Culture. She has been named one of America’s Most Influential Women by Marie Claire and ‘the Millenial Oprah’ by New York Magazine.

Winnie Dunn is a Tongan-Australian from Mount Druitt. She is a Manager and Editor at Sweatshop: Western Sydney Literacy Movement and a Bachelor of Arts graduate from Western Sydney University. Winnie's work has been published in The Lifted Brow, Cordite Poetry Review, Sydney Review of Books, The Griffith Review and The Big Black Thing. She has presented at Sydney Festival, Sydney Writers' Festival, Wollongong Writers' Festival and Stella Girls Write Up.
