Very short fiction goes by many names, including flash fiction, short short story and microfiction. It’s a vibrant form with a rich literary tradition, and it has recently exploded in popularity. This workshop with Melissa Goode and Barry Lee Thompson is for writers of all levels, and explores some of the ways of crafting compelling flash fiction. Each participant will leave with a story draft and ideas for where they can submit it to.

Presented with Varuna, the National Writers’ House.
