Danger Music is the remarkable memoir of Eddie Ayres, known for many years as Emma Ayres, an accomplished musician and ABC Classic FM host. In 2014, still living as Emma, he sunk into a deep depression about his gender identity and quit radio. Later, he decamped to war-torn Afghanistan to teach cello to orphans and street kids. Amid Kabul’s chaos, he somehow found the resolve to take the final steps towards his gender confirmation. Join us as Eddie (now ABC RN Host of The Art Hub) shares his story.

Presented with Ashfield Library, Inner West Council Library & History.

This event is AUSLAN interpreted.
