Dr Eric Dark combined his work as a doctor with his commitment to an ethical and democratic society. Wendy Rogers is a professor trained as a general practitioner before undertaking a PhD in medical ethics. She now teaches in the Department of Philosophy at Macquarie University. With her current work into the trade in human organs, she regularly questions where she stands both as an academic and as a passionate activist.

Wendy Rogers initially trained as a GP before undertaking philosophy honours and a PhD in medical ethics at Flinders University. She spent five years leading the ethics, law and professionalism teaching in the School of Medicine at Flinders before her current position as Professor of Philosophy at Macquarie University.
