Kim Mahood is a writer and artist. She grew up in Central Australia, and since the 1990s has returned regularly to work with the Aboriginal people of the region. Her memoir, Craft for a Dry Lake, won the NSW Premier's Literary Award and The Age Book of the Year for non-fiction. Her latest book, Position Doubtful, explores the complexities of black and white relations in contemporary Australia.
