Chris Uhlmann has been a journalist for nearly thirty years, working across print, online, radio and TV news. He joined ABC in 1998 as a radio host in Canberra before moving into the role of chief political correspondent. He has hosted the flagship program AM and won the 2008 Walkley Award for Broadcast Interviewing. Chris has worked as political editor for ABC news and The 7.30 Report. He set up News 24’s political coverage in 2010 and has hosted 7.30Insiders and News Breakfast. Chris was appointed the ABC’s political editor in 2015. With Steve Lewis, Chris has co-authored three works of political fiction that have been adapted as a six-part series for Foxtel. Their latest book is The Shadow Game.
