Sydney Writers' Festival Live & Local program offers regional and national audiences access to the largest Festival of books and ideas in the southern hemisphere by streaming to arts centres, libraries, and writers' groups across the country. Audiences at these venues can actively engage with and contribute to our Festival by submitting questions to guest writers through Twitter and text message.

In 2015, the inaugural Live & Local program included 10 streaming partners across New South Wales. This year, we're proud to have more than 35 partners on board to deliver Sydney Writers' Festival 2018 highlights to communities in every state and territory in Australia, from Broome to Bundaberg, and Darwin to Launceston.

Join us as we celebrate books, challenge ideas, and interrogate power.

Events being streamed can be found here.

A full list of Live & Local 2018 locations is below. All bookings and enquiries should be made directly to the organisations delivering the program locally. If there isn't a location near you, we recommend contacting your local arts centre, library or writers' group to suggest the program. They can email to make a formal enquiry.
