Sydney Writers’ Festival's main precinct is at Walsh Bay. Alongside venues at Pier 4/5 and Sydney Theatre, the Festival now has two wonderful new venues at Pier 2/3. Events are also held at venues throughout the city, and in suburban Sydney and regional NSW.

Shuttle Bus From Thursday May 22 to Sunday May 25, Sydney Writers' Festival and Sydney Buses will provide a return shuttle bus service from Circular Quay to the Walsh Bay Precinct. Buses depart from outside the Galleria Shops on George Street (opposite First Fleet Park) every 15 minutes from 9am to 7pm. The last bus from Walsh Bay departs at 7.15pm.
These buses are wheelchair accessible. Tickets are $2.50 flat rate on boarding, Travel 10s, concession cards and pensioner day tickets not accepted.
Accessibility
The majority of Festival venues are wheelchair accessible and some are fitted with hearing loops. More detailed access information is available on individual event pages. The SWF Shuttle Bus is wheelchair accessible. After the Festival, some events will be available on our website as video or audio files.
