Presented by Sydney Writers' Festival, Russ the Story Bus is a creative space where children can browse a library full of the latest children's books, swap a pre-loved book for a new favourite, listen to a story or hear authors and illustrators talk about their craft.
The thing is, Russ is no ordinary bus. With his exterior covered in artwork by a leading children’s book illustrator and his interior designed by an award-winning architect firm, he’s actually pretty fancy. The other thing is, Russ has a belly full of books for children of all ages and he needs to lighten the load by giving some away.
Russ is hitting the road, visiting a different primary or high school in Greater Western Sydney every weekday throughout the month of November. Friday visits include an author talk by a leading Australian children’s book writer or illustrator. Please note: school bookings are now closed.
