In just ten years, Sydney Writers' Festival has grown to become the country's most successful annual literary festival, internationally recognised as one of the world's most significant celebrations of books, writing and ideas.
The Festival plays a pivotal role in Australian cultural life, engaging over 400 writers from home and abroad to participate in more than 340 events that have the capacity to change the way we see the world.
Becoming a Private Donor of Sydney Writers' Festival enables you to make a valuable contribution to the work we do and help us continue to bring the world's finest thinkers and writers to Sydney.
Our existing Private Donors are a like-minded group of individuals whose financial support is a reflection of their passion for Sydney Writers' Festival. They play an incredibly important role in the continued success of the Festival and we welcome their support with open arms.
Although we produce a world-leading event, SWF is a not-for-profit company with a very small staff and limited financial resources. As we now find ourselves in the fortunate position of dealing with a high level of growth each year, we need to meet the increasing demands of our audience.
Committed or ongoing support from Private Donors will be crucial to the Festival's continuing success.
The rewards we offer for an investment in the Festival are rich and varied, from supporting individual program strands and our climate friendly initiatives to behind the scenes experiences and private events with our authors.
