Launch of the Fijian-Indian-Australian anthology publication, that contains new writings by Seona Smiles, Surendra Prasad, Prasheel Kumar, Rajat Gyaneshwar, Satish Raj, Prema and Subramani - who are all residents of Western Sydney.
The anthology will be the first volume of published writing by Indo-Fijian-Australians. It will include new writing by well-established guest writers plus poems, plays, fiction, non-fiction, zines, blogs, lyrics and films produced in the workshops. These writings will focus on expressing identity while recording the specificities of the communities' respective narrative of migrations. More importantly, the anthology will provide alternative but illuminating renditions of what "being Australian" means.
