DAVE HACKETT (LOCAL) DAVE HACKETT spent the bulk of his young life avoiding the outdoors, preferring to stay inside drawing cartoons, which eventually led to him teaching cartooning to over 85,000 kids in schools, libraries, and even showing people how to draw snot and spew at the Art Gallery of NSW. He’s cartooned on many different TV shows in Australia, New Zealand, China and Hong Kong, and is the author of five how-to cartooning books. At the age of 35, Dave discovered that writing was just as much fun as drawing without the stress of having to draw the pictures, so he wrote the hilarious novel series UFO - Unavoidable Family Outing.
