Hear from some of the best book designers in Australia about the inspiration behind their designs; the process of bringing their designs to life; and the pressures to create uniqueness in a world full of other stimuli.

Hot from the Australian Publishing Association’s 56th Book Design Awards will come the newly announced Designer of the Best Book of the Year 2008 and Best Young Designer of the Year 2008.

They will be joined by:

Nanette Backhouse, The Best Young Designer of the Year 2007; designer of the APA Book Design Awards Catalogue and designer of the branding of the 2008 Book Design Awards;

Trisha Garner, Designer of the Best Book of the Year 2007; the Best Designed Non-fiction Book 2007 and designer of the award-winning APA Book Design Awards Catalogue 2007; and

Olga Lavecchia, Designer of the Best Cover of the Year 2007; Best Designed Tertiary and Further Education Book 2007 and short-listed designer in the 2008 awards.
