In this epic, Pulitzer Prize-winning tour de force, Adam Johnson provides a riveting portrait of a world that has been hidden from view: North Korea. Out of hunger, corruption and casual cruelty, Pak Jun Do journeys through icy waters, dark tunnels and eerie spy chambers to find camaraderie, stolen moments of beauty and love. Adam Johnson speaks to Julian Morrow about the towering literary achievement that is The Orphan Master’s Son.
